Matching Gifts

Take that extra step to complete your company’s matching gift form and include it with your gift!

Corporate matching gifts provide a growing source of revenue for environmental education programs and give YOU the satisfaction of knowing your company supports a cause you believe in. Some companies will additionally match donations from retirees or employees who donate a specified number of volunteer hours to an organization.  Across the country, more than 4,300 companies match volunteer time.

If your organization uses forms for matching gifts:

1. Obtain and complete an Employee Matching Gift Form from your employer.

Our Vision

Riverbend will be known as the model nature-based STEM teaching partner for schools, a trusted resource for parents working to protect the Earth our children will inherit, and a change agent propelling Pennsylvanians towards a future when all people will live in harmony with nature. Both nationally and in Pennsylvania, the focus has been to increase STEM proficiency at the high school and post-secondary levels. As Riverbend works with school districts in our region, we see a need to direct effective STEM resources all the way down through elementary school. Grades K-5 are a critical period in which student interest can either be deeply engaged or lost in respect to science and technology. Students who have positive experiences through high-quality science teaching and who have opportunities to participate in hands-on science are the ones most likely to pursue STEM paths.

Riverbend strives each year to take our inquiry-based science programs to the next level, transforming the way teachers teach and students learn environmental education.

We Value

  • Excellence in environmental education for all.

  • Equitable access to nature, which leads to more equitable educational outcomes.

  • Personal well-being fostered by connecting people to nature.

  • Environmental stewardship of the land we own.

  • Responsible governance and management.

  • Fun! Our work is recreational and creative.
