Why Nature-Based STEM?
Riverbend delivers STEM programs that utilize nature as the foundation of learning. When nature-based curriculum is used, students are 3x more likely to find the material interesting and create lasting memories.

Nature is Our Classroom
Riverbend builds environmental literacy by providing high quality nature-based STEM education for school students. We use nature as our classroom to teach 21st century learning such as empathy, collaboration and leadership and to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Students participate in hands-on, inquiry-based programs that include direct experiences with nature while achieving academic goals. Riverbend’s educators encourage a student’s curiosity, while sharing their own knowledge. Programs take place on-site at our preserve in Gladwyne and off-site at schools, schoolyards and other nature preserves.
