Summer Camp at The Wetherill School

The Wetherill School is located at 1321 Beaumont Drive in a quiet residential neighborhood in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania on a private wooded 7-acre campus. The campus includes a large fenced playground with a shaded play structure, sandbox, large wooden building blocks, a water exploration table, and two garden beds for vegetables and flowers. The woods offer walking trails where children learn about trees, leaves, plants, and local fauna, and campers often bring natural treasures back to the classroom for further discovery.

Summer Camp Classics
Summer Camp Classics is all about celebrating the timeless activities that make camp unforgettable. From cooking over the campfire to stream time, field games, nature hikes, and arts and crafts, campers enjoy all the classic experiences that make summer magical.

Wild & Well
Explore the wonders of nature with the Wild & Well theme. Campers experience the freedom and peace that Riverbend is known for through guided nature walks, exciting outdoor games, and activities that promote physical activity and emotional well-being. This theme encourages kids to connect with nature and each other in a fun and meaningful way.

Riverbend Animals
Get up close and personal with furry and scaly friends in the Riverbend Animals program. Campers interact with beloved camp animals, including guinea pigs, snakes, turtles, and frogs, along with designated stream time for even more exploration of the natural world. This program encourages curiosity and creativity while fostering a love for wildlife.

Messy Science
Let the experiments begin in the Messy Science theme. This hands-on program is designed for curious minds eager to explore the wonders of the world around them. Along with fun and messy experiments, kids also enjoy stream time as part of their scientific exploration in nature.

Sunny Science
Dive into the fascinating world of solar energy and weather in the Sunny Science theme. This program is perfect for curious campers who want to explore the science behind the sun and its effects on the environment. Stream time is also included, giving campers a refreshing way to connect with nature as they explore the elements.
 

Camp Tuition and Registration
Tuition: $625 per week for all ages

Registration Policies

• $100 per week deposit due upon booking. This is an administration fee and is non-refundable.

• Transaction fees will be charged in addition to tuition fees and are non-refundable.

• Tuition balances are due in full and become non-refundable as of June 1, 2025.

• Schedule changes will be accommodated to the best of Riverbend’s ability, though many weeks fill quickly and changes may not always be possible.

• All children must be potty trained to participate in Riverbend’s summer camp program.

Summer Camp Scholarships
Riverbend offers a limited number of Summer Camp scholarships to families in need. Preference is given to applicants who are PA ACCESS card holders.

 

Families in need of financial assistance are asked to contact the Summer Camp Director at info@riverbendeec.org.
