At Riverbend, children’s birthday parties are more than just celebrations—they’re outdoor adventures that spark curiosity, joy, and a love for nature. Each party is thoughtfully designed around a nature theme, with activities ranging from whimsical woodland explorations to hands-on pond discoveries. Our experienced facilitators create engaging experiences that make your child’s special day unforgettable.

Sycamore Package-$1000

• Up to 4 hrs

• Up to 100 guests (children and adults)

• Party start times: 10:30 AM or 2:00 PM

• We provide: birthday banner, Craft paper table coverings, nature journal and pencil party favors

• You provide: cake, food, and happy kids!
   

Choose Your Party Theme
At Riverbend, every birthday is an adventure. Select one of our engaging themes to make your child’s celebration truly unique:
Woodland Fairy or Dragon Party

• Make your own fairy or Dragon potions

• Search for woodland friends and build them homes

• Enjoy an enchanting storytime

• Take a magical stroll through the nature preserve

• Discover the wonder, mystery and magic in the natural world
   

Pond Discovery Party 

• Create your own mini pond

• Learn about creatures like frogs, toads, and aquatic plants

• Go on a scavenger hunt hike

• Explore the pond with nets and buckets

• Play a lively pond-themed game

 

Hiking Party (This theme requires the Sprout or Sapling party package. For Ages 7+)

• A true outdoor adventure led by two facilitators

• Guided 1-mile hike to the “Bamboo Forest” on the Bridlewild Trail system

• Explore the hidden bamboo grove

• Play classic camp-style games

• Note: No craft included. All participants should bring a water bottle and wear sturdy shoes. Caregivers are encouraged to join the hike.

 

Stream Exploration Party 

• Fossil making

• Discover and explore the stream environment

• Search for critters and learn about their habitat

• Hands-on adventure with exploration tools

Our Approach to Play & Learning
At Riverbend, our birthday parties are designed around child-led discoveries and the joy of exploration. Rather than focusing on “perfect products,” we emphasize process art—creative activities where the experience matters more than the outcome. Whether children are mixing fairy potions, shaping fossils, or building their own mini ponds, they’re free to imagine, experiment, and make the activity their own.

 

Birthday Parties Designed by Age
At Riverbend, each party theme is thoughtfully shaped to match your child’s age and stage of development. Activities are adapted to ensure they are engaging, that they are safe, and that their experience is meaningful. 

Every Party Includes an Animal Encounter
Each celebration at Riverbend features a special visit with one of our Animal Ambassadors. Children will meet a live animal up close, learning fun facts while fostering curiosity, respect, and care for wildlife. From turtles to snakes and insects, these encounters bring an extra spark of excitement and discovery to every party.
